Rasp Bars Were Loose!

    Welker Farms

Finished with peas, now to get ready for spring wheat. Wtih down time between crops we replaced the rollers on the TV380 and hauled all our pea crop in!

In this video we welded flat iron on skip wire modules and installed them in 3l 3r 4l 4r. The reason for this is to control the mog, chaff, trash that fall through onto the cleaning area worsening the grain sample.

This is NOT recommended for yields above 20 bushels an acre. Because our spring wheat is running 10-12 bushels this modification worked very well for us. If you are in crops yielding 20+ bushels then use small or large wire modules as you'll need more opportunities for grain to fall onto the sieve.

The best setup would be small wire modules instead of our modified skip wire modules but unfortunately we did not have enough small wire on hand so we modified our skip wire to get the job done.

We are now in 25 bushel wheat so we replaced 3l & 3r with large wire modules (as we have those) and are having excellent results.

Unfortunately did not make this very clear in this video so I wanted to make sure everyone understood why we did what we did and why this was recommended to us.

    Okay harvest on!!

The pricing is a definitely mind game of regret or not regret and no one can predict a widespread drought combined with hail. Always going to be obstacles in farming- just move on and an another opportunity might come your way for next year's crop. It's a balancing act for every farmer and you are not alone. The real problem is if we don't get any rain this fall for next year's crop....then it will be all preventive planting for sure...

Excellent video Nick. I don't think many of the video watchers understand contracting it seemed from comments they think you did that after harvest and that would be great to be able to do. I know as a kid I did not get how contracting worked. Hope you have a good rest of harvest and all stay safe. Pete and RePete (Patch) are sure cute dogs, Coby is going to be unhappy.

Most excellent video. I wonder how many dry land wheat farmers know this. I'll be asking my nephew...even though he's now running a green thing. 🤦‍♂️ I'm betting this comment will be censored due to the following...YouTube (they're not alone) doesn't care for "inconvenient truth" and non-narrative discussion. Drought is only part of the story...the Grand Solar Minimum is in full swing, and it's effects being capitalized upon by the "elites." This exact circumstance has been warned of for years. I've followed/researched it for 6 years; actually since GHW Bush promise of a new global government of "peace and prosperity" in 1991...my birth as a "conspiracy theorist." I'm now deemed a most dangerous "white extremist"/"vaccine hesitant" terrorist despite being affiliated with others of all skin colors, faiths and foreign citizens 🤷‍♂️...praying for NO violence. Also following censored and discredited, once highly acclaimed scientists and medical professionals. I've pleaded with my farm neighbors to recognize crop cycle changes driven by the Grand Solar Minimum...a regular, "forever" 400 year cycle of the Sun. Of course this event is deemed insignificant by (media promoted) "experts." Note: the 97% of scientists/experts agree is a myth A most recent history? Remember your study of the 1600s...from our colonist's/First Nation's climate issues to the Black Death/Plague (especially Europe)? The Sun "sleeps" even deeper every 2400-2500 years...and we are in such a cycle. Hmmm...what and where was "The Fertile Crescent?" We tend to focus on our regional and national events. Do you know of the record cold temperatures in Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil? How much do we hear of the agricultural catastrophe in China the last two years? The Chinese have long recorded the Grand Solar Minimum...every great Chinese dynasty collapsed during such event (as did the Roman Empire). Why? Famine... How much do we hear of China's (actually CCP...Chinese citizens are victims) GLOBAL expansion in agricultural industries. The CCP knows their billions of (victim/subject) citizens will be "unfriendly" when starving. Their thousands of year history keeps repeating. "Backorder"...research World Economic Forum-GREAT RESET/Davos-2030 Agendas/BIG Pharma and BIG Corp/CCP/"Green New Deal"-Anthropogenic Climate Crisis cultists. Globalist-Corporate Communism... They've warned of "pandemics" with increasing fervor since 2006. They "studied" via computer simulation how a pandemic would affect the World..."Event 201" staged October 2019. Interestingly, the event predicted agricultural disruption...and breakdown of all PRODUCT availability because of manufacturing disruption, and especially DISTRIBUTION issues. Their simulation was remarkably accurate... They have warned (threatened?) for months of cyberattack and/or Solar flare disrupting (destroying?) electrical power and communications grids. Ominously, they just "studied" such an event via computer simulation...July 9, 2021. The "New World Order" conspiracy theory...is no longer theory. This isn't political...it is a SPIRITUAL War. To this point it is an information and psychological war. Fear, censorship, fomenting division and hate psyop. Have you noticed a uniformity of media narrative...globally? Would you have believed a prediction of the events/public reaction of the last 18 months...even just 24 months ago? Have you ever heard the term "Colour Revolution?" Who suggested that controlling education and media, creating civil division were the tools of conquest? Can you believe Oregon is discussing (implementing) a new educational program...math and reading proficiency no longer required for high school graduation? Can you believe Australian citizens being held "captive" in their own homes by police and military? Conventional weapons will only be used to drive fear porn (read "1984" by George Orwell). How do you feel about the recent revelation regarding a public university (many more to be revealed) being funded with your tax dollars to use for research (and sale)...body parts of aborted (up to 20 weeks) fetuses? You may not have heard of this...it's not a "popular" news item with mainstream media. Are you comfortable with the success of governance by unelected bureaucrats? Do you trust our government officials and their experts? Are any government (eg NIH, NIAID, FDA, USDA)/Quasi government (CDC) organizations funded (influenced/controlled) by large corporations or non-government organizations? Research the finances of aforementioned "authorities." Research hospital compensation, complicit insurance companies in regard to "COVID compensation." Do you think medical professionals are possibly salaried by, bribed by, extorted/blackmailed by employers and the organizations identified previously? Does the public narrative jive with the actual data from these organizations (especially the CDC)? Does "follow the science" jive with the scientific method; the scientific method requiring dissent and doubt? Are you familiar with the terms/realities of "technocracy" and "Transhumanism?" Again, this war is not political...it is Freedom v. tyranny, Light v. darkness, Good v. evil. As Christians (I can't speak for others) we know the story...the Saving Grace of the Cross, Christ's death and Resurrection. We know the Eternal War is Won. We also know we are called to love others as God Loved us...the Great Commandment AND the Great Commission. I struggle with, "to hate is to lose." It is too easy to wish for kinetic war-making...vengeance. We must remember "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12 NASB). Continuing in Ephesians 6..."armor up...stay that way!" How does this relate to the temporal? Civil disobedience is not an option...it is DUTY. DO NOT COMPLY with mandates or orders violating God's Commands/Word...or ones violating the Constitution. The last 18 months of government actions/orders have ignored (defiedł) the Constitution. Our leaders are liars, proving themselves authoritarian...straight up Communist. The "balance of power," "checks and balances" as defined in the Constitution is non-existent...all three branches of Federal Government are proving their corruption. This is actually good news...WE the PEOPLE are awakening, and this is not limited to just the United States. This awakening is Global...the Globalists are panicking, accelerating their plans too fast and too "in your face." They realize like people past, subjected to tyranny...we outnumber them. It's time we sheep become wolf-like..."eat their cake." Our Founders defined a nation of INVOLVED/ACTIVE citizens forming and CONTROLLING Government. The people ordering us around are our employees...it's time to be/ACT the boss. Strength and courage (Joshua 1:9) NO fear (Psalm 91 and Zephaniah 3:15,17) Endurance (Isaiah 40:31) Salvation and Justification/Sanctification (Romans 10:9,10) By FAITH (Hebrews 11) Aware and armored up (Ephesians 6) Hot: purifying and comforting Cold: refreshing and quickening This time (as always) demands NOT lukewarm...unless you choose to be "spat out" by the Father.

Never think about what you could've had or would you could've maid, the only thing that matters is that it was profitable and you were happy with the price. I am a long-term bitcoin investor and I have held on to almost 3000 bitcoin since 2009 when they were next to worthless and many times I have said I wish I sold whenever the price hit a new high, finally I decided to cash in back in April when it hit 60k a piece and I am officially retired at the age of 37. We have a 1480 that I put a engine in from a parts combine that came with it. The original engine through a rod through both sides of the engine. Took me a couple of weeks to finish it but we finished cutting our grain. That winter we took the rasp bars out along with the, I can’t remember what you call them that sits on the bottom. But we blocked the first one so it could thrash more. We also built and put in disrupters and changed the smooth bars on the back to a sort of rough bar. I’m sorry. I was in a four wheeler accident couple of weeks ago and my brain has not caught up yet. Chasing a couple of cows on a new chipped road. Was in the hospital for over a week. Broken ribs, crack my face and orbital what ever.

Hi Scott. just a note when you are using the plasma torch. Instead of dragging in a straight line, which creates a nice thin cut. do little circles, still using the speed square to get a straight line. However the circles will create a wider cut. the wider cut allows the flame to blow the slag out the bottom of the cut, which means that it does not wield itself to one edge. which in turn means less clean up. the edge is not as pretty and flat, but for wielding after cutting its perfect and ready to go straight off the plasma. Hope that helps, take care D
